How to sign up for VendNex and what happens during your free trial.

VendNex accounts come in two types, and which one you get depends on how you sign up. If you run the shop, you create a business owner account. If you rent a booth or consign items at a shop, you get a vendor account through an invitation from that shop.

Signing up as a business owner

Go to the sign-up page and fill in your business details: business name, your name, email, password, phone number, and the shop's address. You'll also pick a business type (antique mall, consignment store, and so on).

After you create the account you're offered the option to connect Square right away. You can skip that and do it later — everything except automatic sales syncing works without it.

About the free trial

New business accounts start with a 14-day free trial with no card required. During the trial you have full access. When it ends, you'll be asked to pick a plan before you can keep using the dashboard.

One thing worth planning around: the most useful part of VendNex is the month-end payout cycle, and a 14-day trial doesn't always cover a full one. If you're evaluating the product, it helps to start your trial near the beginning of a month so you can watch a complete cycle before deciding.

Vendors don't sign up on their own

Vendors can't create their own accounts from the homepage. A shop owner adds the vendor first, then sends an invitation link. See Joining a store as a vendor.
