Custom add-ons: building the parts of VendNex that only your shop needs
Enterprise shops can now request custom pages, widgets, and tools built specifically for their account, running in a sandboxed system that's safe to open up further down the line.
Every business that signs up for VendNex runs a little differently, and most of the time the app already covers it. Every once in a while, though, an Enterprise shop asks for something specific: a page that doesn't exist yet, a number on the dashboard that isn't tracked, a small tool that's only useful to them. Custom add-ons are how we handle that now.
How it actually works
If you're on Enterprise, there's now an Add-Ons tab in Settings. You describe what you want and submit it. That request shows up on my end, I build it as a small bundle and install it against your account. The next time you load your dashboard, it's just there.
No forking the app, no separate build for your business, no waiting on a general release that has to make sense for every customer. It's built for you specifically and it only shows up for you.
What this means for you
If you're on Enterprise, this is available right now. Go to Settings → Add-Ons and send a request. If you're not on Enterprise yet and there's something specific your shop needs that the app doesn't do, this is usually the fastest way to get it built without waiting on a general roadmap item.
